Estimate affordability before asking for an offer
This wizard produces a planning estimate from income, living costs, existing obligations and loan terms. It is not an approval, a credit check, or a lender’s underwriting decision. No bureau lookup or lender application takes place.
Two limits are compared
The model first takes 45% of income remaining after the entered expenses and existing EMIs as an affordable payment. It converts that payment into principal using the loan rate and term. A second heuristic caps borrowing by an income multiple adjusted for selected profile categories. The smaller amount is displayed.
Treat profile factors as assumptions
The credit-score and employment selections change an illustrative cap; they are not a bank’s actual scoring model. A lender can consider age, income documentation, collateral, co-borrowers, location and internal policy. The confidence description is only a label for the chosen scenario and does not predict approval probability.
Protect your financial details when sharing
The calculation runs in your browser. A share link deliberately includes income, expenses and other scenario values so a recipient can reproduce it. Those values become visible in the link and browser history. Share only with someone you intend to receive that information; use fictional amounts if you only want to demonstrate the tool.
Worked example
Monthly income ₹75,000, expenses ₹25,000 and no existing EMI.
The first affordability limit is 45% of ₹50,000, or ₹22,500/month, before the income-multiple cap is applied.
Your own emergency reserve and irregular expenses can justify a lower commitment even if a lender offers more.
Questions about this tool
Will using the wizard affect my credit score?
No. This site does not run a credit-bureau inquiry. Your selected score band is a manual input.
